Well, lately I haven't been posting many pictures. Wonder why?
There was something up with my lens, that made it unable to function comfortably... the zoom locked and wiggled, and it was a very scary thing to use.
Yeah, I've only got the one right now, because I'm a broke-ass student.
Well it's in for repairs now, and can't take a single picture with my SLR until approximately June.
Fucking brilliant.
Thank you, mother, for throwing my camera up the stairs.

I've been super busy with school things, and trying to find a job. I've got a ton of shoots planned for after the exams, so hopefully tohse will provide me with some awesome stuff to post!

I have a friend who's willing to be my fantastic model lady, so it's gonna be a load of fun.

SO ANYHOW. Back on the thought train..
I went to one of the colleges to I applied to, and they seemed super impressed with me.
One of the profs said that I won't have any problem getting in, that I've got a great eye for photography, and I've got a great starting point to work from.
As I left, she said "see you next fall!" and I think she meant it.

I am so happy right now.
Even though my knee is causing me wicked amounts of pain.
To the point where I can't feel my toes.

So today at my co-op placement (all day in a com-tech class) the grade 10s were taught about the elements of what makes a good photograph. Before the class started, the teacher asked me to put some of my photos onto a memory stick. I didn't know what he planned to do with them, but it couldn't be anything bad, so I did. Little did I know, that he planned to use them as examples to show the class what makes a good photograph. (rule of thirds, peak of emotion, light and shadows, etc.) After the powerpoint thing, he had the class analyze some pictures and choose which element they thought it represented. Lo and behold, my pictures were among some that he had put in the folder they were to use! Most of the students used my photographs rather than the others he had taken from the internet or somewhere else. A lot of them called me over just to say that they really liked my cat or that they thought I had beautiful pictures.
Tomorrow the grade 11s will be getting the same lesson, which I might be teaching. I'm trying to convince the teacher to let me change a lot of the pictures from the powerpoint to some of my own, so they're not awful quality stock photos.
It was a good day, and I got a lot of positive feedback. Might have made my week!

Anyhow, I'm super happy that I get to share my pictures with people in real life, not just the internet.
